Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

Primary

  • Develop UK sales of both manufactured and distributed product ranges using a variety of sales methods but mainly face to face meetings
  • Research and establish potential business opportunities, focusing on B2B - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Strategic Planning - Develop and execute strategies to meet company's customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.
  • Maximise sales through online platforms such as science warehouse.
  • Develop and maintain CRM software.

General Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain customer networks.
  • Work alongside customers to understand their current and future requirements.
  • Identify opportunities and competitor activities.
  • Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions and other events.
  • Establish gaps in markets and efficiently report back to help grow our product portfolio.
  • Work with R&D on new product development.
  • Effective communication of company’s products and value propositions.
  • Upkeeps understanding of unique scientific methods, theories, and the practical methods used in research laboratories.
  • Clearly liaise technical details with colleagues and customers.
  • Work with other members of our team in areas of processing, administration, product development and digital marketing.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Masters, Doctorate, in molecular biology, genetics, medical bioscience or biology / chemistry based or related life science discipline.

    Essential

  • 2+ years of sales experience in a life science related area.
  • Previous track record of constantly growing sales through network marketing and by establishing needs and meeting those needs with our product range.
  • BSc and can demonstrate working knowledge of molecular biology methods.
  • Capacity to sell both reagents, kits and instrumentation.
  • Able to work independently and within a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Capacity to Communicate with different people and roles within any organisation.
  • Flexible in approach with an eye for detail
  • Problem solving, solution orientated.
  • Takes ownership, initiative and accountability for their role within the Company.

Desirable

  • 1+ years lab bench experience in Molecular Biology, Cell biology, or related area.
  • Sales in Molecular Biology sector.
  • Masters. Doctorate in a science that had a focus on molecular biology techniques.
  • Understanding of diabetes research and sports science market.
  • Strong and established networks with customers based within the territory
  • Proven sales development of 2+ years.
