Vacancy: Refrigeration Service Engineer
Location: within 20 miles of Watford
The Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, planned maintenance and repair
of a variety of cryogenic storage systems and laboratory freezers across the whole of the UK,
but with a focus on London, Oxfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to Service Manager:
• Carry out service, repairs, installation of cryogenic storage systems and lab freezers as
designated;
• Carry out on-job training;
• Attend manufacturer training as and when required by the company;
• Ensure:
o Company provided tools kept in good condition and replaced as required;
o Company Test equipment in date for calibration and good condition;
o Keep company vehicle in good and roadworthy condition;
• Report any issues concerning the above to the Service manager or Director in his
absence;
• Reporting to customers site at the time and date specified to carry out service, repairs,
installation of laboratory equipment as designated by service manager;
• Carry out in-house repairs/ installations as required by the company;
• Complete monthly company expenses with full recs signed and handed in on time to
the service manager or Director in his absence;
• Understand procedures and systems within the Sales and Service dept. including
Microsoft word, excel and e-mail.

THE CANDIDATE
• Basic engineering skills essential;
• Experience of cryogenics and industrial refrigeration would be highly beneficial;
• Professional and presentable manner;
• Confident and self-motivated;
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral);
• Good technical aptitude;
• Initiative;
• Autonomy;
• Full and preferably clean driving licence;
• Home location within easy travel of Hertfordshire/London border.
