Workshop Engineer/ Graduate engineer technician - Luton

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and/or repairs on a diverse range of instruments in the workshop.
  • Provide high-quality technical support to customers via telephone and email.
  • Ensure accurate cost estimates are communicated to customers for all work conducted, along with managing purchase orders received.
  • Complete service records and provide proper documentation for all work performed for customer reference.
  • Take responsibility for and manage In-House support tickets to meet service KPIs.
  • Conduct maintenance, functional checks, and repairs on demonstration and loan instruments.
  • Accurately manage spare parts inventory by adhering to established processes and ensuring precise reporting.
  • Maintain the workshop to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and uphold a clean working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the organization and high levels of service delivered to customers.

    Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electronics or electrical engineering disciplines.
  • Preferred experience in maintaining complex and sensitive equipment.
  • Background in customer service.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
