The Sales Engineer will be responsible for the support of existing customers and new business development throughout the territory. The successful candidate will join a motivated, international team.
Salary 40-45k + Commission up to 10k
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing existing customer accounts and generating new ones through thorough research, prospecting, and follow-up
- Managing sales projects from initial lead to negotiation and order closing
- Efficiently managing territories through planning and effective CRM use
- Assisting in the development of customer applications
- Participating in conferences and exhibitions
- Aiding in the creation of marketing communications for customers within the territory
- Conducting regular customer visits for sales presentations, demonstrations, installations, and training on proper equipment usage
- Collaborating with other product teams to promote comprehensive solution offerings
Requirements:
- Candidates should possess a degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years' experience with proven success in selling analytical instruments to diverse industries, including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, petrochemical, and academia.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to effectively engage with laboratory managers, scientists, academics, and technicians.
- Willingness to travel within the designated territory, across the UK, and occasionally overseas for training and business meetings.
- Residing in Bristol, Swindon, or the South West of England, with easy access to major road networks, and holding a full UK driving license.
