Account Manager/Product Specialist – Molecular Biology, South

Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and conscientious Product Specialist – Molecular to join our team, supporting the commercial and technical success of our molecular diagnostics product range across the UK. This role is field-based, with regular travel required to customer sites and company offices for meetings, training, and collaboration.

The Role

  • Provide technical and commercial support to customers and the internal sales team.
  • Develop and implement technical support plans tailored to customer needs.
  • Contribute to the identification and development of new business opportunities within the molecular diagnostics market.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations and value propositions to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams including Product Management, Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Operations.
  • Support the overall commercial strategy for molecular diagnostic products.
  • Participate in and contribute to R&D and product development initiatives.
  • Provide cross-functional support to other business areas as required.

The Person

  • Holds a BSc in Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a UK IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) or related healthcare market.
  • Strong technical understanding of molecular diagnostic technologies and applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant bioinformatics or laboratory software.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel regularly.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable in a dynamic working environment.

Additional Information
The role requires travel to company offices and customer sites across the UK as needed. Flexibility and a proactive approach are essential.
