Overview:
A global leader in providing research solutions for drug discovery and development is seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts. This role supports scientists with innovative products and services aimed at advancing research into biological and pharmacological processes, particularly in drug metabolism and disease studies.
The Director will take the lead in managing key accounts, creating strategic plans, and driving revenue growth through exceptional customer engagement. This role involves contract negotiation, strategic planning, and collaboration across departments to provide customized solutions and foster long-term partnerships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key Account Development:
- Identify and cultivate relationships with priority accounts to meet sales objectives.
- Lead contract negotiations for long-term agreements, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, agreements, and forecasts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address challenges and identify opportunities for cross-selling.
Strategic Account Planning:
- Design and execute account plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Analyse market trends, industry shifts, and competitor strategies to inform decisions.
- Provide insights to aid product development and market positioning.
- Utilize data analytics to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Proactively address client needs and work to secure contract renewals.
- Act as a key resource for clients, fostering trust and demonstrating value.
Sales Performance:
- Meet and surpass sales targets by expanding accounts and identifying new business avenues.
- Track market trends to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Maintain performance metrics to ensure progress is clearly communicated to internal teams.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and contract execution.
- Leverage internal expertise to offer tailored client solutions.
- Act as a trusted partner to clients, strengthening relationships and ensuring mutual success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated success in contract negotiation and revenue growth.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical expertise with a proven ability to interpret data and drive strategies.
- Familiarity with industry compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., GDP, GMP, GLP, GCP).
- Experience within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industries is highly valued.
