We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to oversee our product offerings in the northern region of the UK. This role is vital for generating new business opportunities and acquiring customers, offering the chance to join a dynamic and globally-minded team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business through prospecting, lead generation, and follow-up.
- Manage a diverse sales territory across multiple industries.
- Lead negotiations and manage various sales projects from start to finish.
- Assist in developing tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and success.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions.
- Contribute to marketing strategies aimed at customer engagement.
- Conduct site visits to present sales proposals, demonstrate products, and offer training.
Qualifications:
- A relevant degree (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline is required, Chemistry or Chemical engineering degrees preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in selling analytical instruments or similar capital equipment. Experience in specific technologies (FTIR, Raman) is a plus, though training will be provided.
- Proven ability to acquire new customers in a sales or business development role.
- Familiarity with technical applications in scientific analysis is advantageous.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable engaging with professionals across various technical fields.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally abroad for training and business engagements.
- Residing in a central location with good access to transport routes.
