Position Summary:

As our new Sales Specialist/AM you are a key member of our Laboratory Products team. You’ll be focused on push sales for the Laboratory Products equipment and consumables into the Pharma Biotech market.

This is a field-based position with a territory covering Oxford and the Southwest.

The primary functional objective of the position is contact with customers and channel partners in the given segment, to initiate and grow networks, which will ultimately create sales! It is through these networks and understand the business and external market that will accomplish the best possible sales representation for the Company. As a Pharma Biotech Salesperson, you will visit customers, travelling 4 days per week on average, in addition to using the telephone, MS Teams, data science and email. Social media connections will also be an integral resource.

Responsibilities:

  • Be part of a new developed team to focus on customers within the Biotech sectors
  • Reach Yearly Operating Plan set for the location
  • The strategic development and growth of laboratory equipment is the main focus of this position in accordance with the inside sales counterpart making strong teamwork is an important aspect.
  • Grow and up-keep current networks by regular face to face conferences, with potential and current customers.
  • Sales Forecasting and foreseeing pipeline changes establishing methods to be put in place to address shortfalls.
  • Use Salesforce.com to ensure correct customer records are held.
  • Use data intelligence to analyse and grow sales opportunities with the biggest return on investment. Communicate key competitor duties, market trends, and changing customer growth methods and priorities, which include emerging customers.
  • Regularly supply written and verbal communication of successes and challenges to improve the overall operating effectiveness of the team, area and sales business.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: 

  • Must live on territory or be able to move.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s within Life Sciences needed.
  • Minimum 2+ years proven sales success in life sciences or a similar market environment.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Display experience managing complicated, high-value accounts.
  • A strong team player with proven ability to coordinate tasks and influence without authority.
  • Strong capabilities to interface efficiently with all customer and channel types.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Practical understanding of the sales processes & buying cycle.
  • Ability to function efficiently in a high-performance team.
  • Display a can do attitude and passion to succeed in sales.
  • Shows a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams or similar programs needed.
