Job Description

Main Responsibilities Include: 

  • To manage a sales territory that will include a combination of Key Accounts, Pharma, Biotech, Hospitals and Academic Accounts.
  • Management of Sales Targets which will be a combination of instrument unit sales and overall revenue for the territory.
  • Make use of Applications Consultants and Support Personnel to arrange and execute demonstrations and be involved in pre and post sales ability.
  • Key Account Management and cooperation at all levels in these accounts
  • To earnestly investigate market possibility for the automation of applications in a new or different range of subject areas. Projects will range from simple solutions to complicated multi-instrument projects.
  • To communicate with Switzerland for the management and completion of complicated sales.
  • Organise exhibitions and customer demonstrations.
  • There is a real possibility to develop “beyond the role” in time and contribute to the overall development of the Company as well as identify individual potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Requirement for a pro-active “Go-Getter” that can drive new accounts and realise business opportunities.
  • To make sure the complete ideology, integrity and business presence of the Company. Is well depicted in the market place.
  • To act with integrity and diligence in the completion of your duties.
  • Maintain a constant update of our CRM system. The Customer Database, Product Information and Opportunities and Project Tracking
  • Upkeep regular visits/contact with current and new customers.
  • Develop Cold Calls and Penetration into new accounts and market sectors where suitable for the Company’s portfolio of products.
  • Comprehend the key issues and market possibilities within your territory with common action plans and new lead generation
  • Make use of resources given by telemarketing and close collaboration with partner and 3rd party companies to create the drive of accounts and business intelligence in the territory.
  • Arrange and run regular workshops/seminars/conferences/mailings to develop sales opportunities.
  • Give first hand feedback of competitive plans and tactics, service quality, product usability etc.
  • To acquire and maintain complete up to date understanding and information regarding competitors’ products and services.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of automation support and Capital Sales is preferred. Candidates will need to demonstrate a clear track record and possibility to develop further.
  • High Value negotiation skills with procurement, senior management and end users
  • High degree of IT literacy and scientific understanding in regards with our market sector; specifically Genomics, Drug Discovery, Stem Cells.
  • Customer steered attitude with a first focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Proven interpersonal and team skills.
  • Proven track record in “Needs-Based Selling”. A genuine motivated self-starter that can work as an independently but also communicate and drive a team approach
  • Bachelor’s in suitable Life Science subject. The desire to “self-learn” subject areas as the opportunities require and to complement provided training.
  • Understanding of current and possible customer base advantageous.
  • Results driven, self-starter with an ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • The role will receive substantial aid by the team and sales manager to help organise the individual in the territory.
