  • Achieve & Exceed Sales & Profitability Targets.
  • Establish and maintain Territory sales pipeline

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Establish Territory Business Plan and Sales Strategy.
  • Product & Expertise :
  • Maintain current & new product understanding and external information (e.g. software etc.).
  • Keep up to date on location and market developments & changing customer demands.
  • Competitor information.
  • Market & pricing information.
  • Control and update customer relationship management system
  • Explore new opportunities for sales, for example; within NHS, private healthcare, specialist analysis and animal healthcare business divisions.
  • Arrange appointments with key customer contacts via telephone & email.
  • Keep & maintain customer & visit records.
  • Organise appropriate / timely product presentations & demonstrations (when appropriate & qualified/justified) with Product Specialists as required.
  • Attend & participate in company Sales & Marketing Meetings.
  • Report on activities to line manager.
  • Administration:
    • Reports- weekly/monthly reports as desired by Field Sales Manager and Sales & Marketing Manager to include:
      • Prospects
      • Sales visit reports
      • Competitor information
      • Market & pricing information
  • Engage with the Technical Team regarding sales support.
  • Report and update Tender information and activities to the Field Sales Manager.
  • Follow and maintain the Company’s objectives and KPIs.
  • Pursue personal development of skills and understanding necessary for efficient performance of the role.
  • Attend training courses as needed.
  • Comply with the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Comply with relevant Health & Safety procedures.

Experience:

  • Proven Sales Experience
  • Pathology Experience (haematology/biochemistry or related)
  • Strategic planning
  • Good communication skills
  • Software packages: Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Internet, Efficient written and verbal
  • PowerPoint & Database
  • Appropriate scientific degree (or similar)
  • Experience of Pathology managed service contracts desirable
