As the Packaging Product Specialist you will be accountable for managing a portfolio of clients & supporting the commercial team with product your understanding and accompanying customer visits. Managing and owning the relationships of key accounts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure sales totals, revenue and product mix and meet the agreed business plan
  • Ensure the Packaging Product delivery of reporting and predicting through application of the company sales tools
  • Develop demand pull in the given location through targeted customer visits and increasing the utilisation of marketing collateral
  • Create new opportunities and deliver new accounts
  • Area Coverage
  • Maintain a structured calling plan to ensure usual visits to new and current customers to promote the Company’s products and services
  • Ensure correct focus given to Key Accounts, Focus Accounts and Corporate Accounts across your given location
  • Engage with the Sales Specialists in the given location to generate and push inter divisional cooperation by initiating geographical teams
  • Establish leads and opportunities to develop new accounts
  • Aid with specific promotions in the region and carry out training sessions, as and when necessary
  • To attend Sales Meetings and when needed, organise and visit local exhibitions
  • Engage interdepartmentally as needed
  • Comply to all Company internal and ISO9000 procedures
  • Ensure adequate understanding of complete product range and services
  • Maintain up to date understanding of the Company and its systems
  • Establish all decision makers and influencers at the customer account, major future developments, projects and tenders in the given location
  • Maintain comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape to allow successful execution of the business plans

Travel Requirements:

  • Relatively 70% of time will be spent travelling through the given area

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must live on territory or be able to relocate
  • Valid driving licence
  • Science qualification, Degree or equivalent is desired
  • In depth understanding of Packaging laboratory products
  • Appropriate Sales experience in a similar market environment
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills
