Reporting to the CEO, responsibilities include overseeing the market assessment of current, adjacent and new market opportunities, channel development, and business development activities. Accountable for creating detailed marketing plans for the company in its offices in the UK, Germany and parts of Asia. Design and updating of marketing materials including those for exhibitions, brochures, data sheets, and the web site is also necessary.  The Company manufactures technical products, so the candidate must be able to comprehend and process all of the technical aspects of the products and applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Creates, controls, coordinates, and executes company marketing strategies for the territories constant with corporate objectives
  • Performs detailed market analysis including industry structure, segment size, growth opportunities, competitive landscape, profitability assessments, and product/company positioning
  • Develops methods and detailed plans which capitalize on prioritized market opportunities
  • Work with USA Marketing Manager to coordinate and distribute shared tasks
  • Develops and controls the program activities, budgets and business approval
  • Develop market and customer insights through Voice of Customer and/or Voice of Market tasks
  • Works closely with sales and subsidiaries to implement business development activities consistent with growth objectives of the company
  • Perform detailed competitive analyses in order to determine current and future threats/opportunities
  • Represents the company at different industry and/or business meetings to promote the company
  • Preparation and delivery of marketing materials, exhibits, and promotion programs that must be technically, culturally and linguistically suitable for the markets targeted
  • Promotes positive relations with vendors and distributors.
  • Establishes and implements short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Prepare combined monthly Sales and Marketing reports for the Company
  • Accountability for coordinating and managing exhibitions and conferences in territories
  • Work with sales team members to acknowledge market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to establish market opportunities; adjust marketing strategy and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions
  • The Marketing Manager will work directly with the sales managers to develop sales tasks and implementations.
  • Partner with sales and other stakeholders for creation of sales tools, literature, and presentations for use with customers, and other material to enable our global sales team
  • Provide product management leadership and partner with other departments to establish and execute on evolutionary or revolutionary product or solution opportunities.
  • Will perform other duties as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 7 years of suitable experience
  • Experience in marketing planning and product marketing
  • The ability to manage several, complicated priorities within demanding timeframes
  • Strong business acumen and an in-depth knowledge of the marketing and financial implications of new business opportunities
  • Experience with the implementation of growth, new business development and marketing action that lead to greater market penetration
  • Domestic and International travel, up to 20%
  • Requires professional presentation, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills, able to work individually and as part of a team
  • Must be a self-starter and have a strong attention to detail and be able to handle many different projects on the go
  • Analytical, cooperative, creative, detail-oriented, and persistent
  • Native English fluency required
  • Content Management system experience, WordPress desired
  • HTML skills desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Attention to detail, layout, and design
  • Advanced skills on iMac in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Numerate; competent with basic data analysis in Excel
  • Analytical with the ability to absorb data and communicate in a clear concise manner
  • Attendance at conferences and exhibitions may be needed
