Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Work with pre-NPD team to pinpoint opportunities for new product development.
  • Take control of new product development tasks. Ensure that accurate market research is administered to support the growth of new products in line with customer expectations.
  • To make sure the smooth progression of NPD projects through the marketing department. Ensure all tasks are completed according to agreed deadlines.
  • Working with Marketing Communications and Scientific Affairs team to organize promotional and technical literature to aid new products at launch and throughout the product life cycle.
  • Manufacturing of sales tools including competitor assay product analyses, publication summaries and training goods including launch pack materials.
  • Communicate with Scientific Affairs to guarantee scientific studies are aligned with strategic marketing plan. Ensure output from studies is adapted to marketing material.
  • Supervise product changes through the quality system.
  • Work with Technical Services to aid with solving customer complaints and enquiries in a positive behavior.
  • Communicate with production departments to help management of product supply. Work with all appropriate departments to control stocking issues to allow minimal impact to customers.
  • Training of sales, specialists and distributors' staff
  • Visit international exhibitions and meetings
  • To be involved in the organization of UK and International customer events
  • Guide sales & Budget target and participate to the growth of sales campaigns to aid product growth
  • Continue awareness of competitor tasks and make proposals for counter action
  • Continually grow personal knowledge of the diagnostic market. Use knowledge to make proposal's for new products/product developments.
  • To be involved in UK and International e-mailing, ad campaigns and other promotional campaigns
  • Participate to the company’s distributor conference and international symposia
  • Establish strong working relationship with product managers/marketing managers at global secondary offices.
  • Develop relations with appropriate external companies & key opinion leaders

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Life Sciences or Marketing/Business or similar
  • Experience in a Sales or Marketing (customer-facing surroundings) in the diagnostic and/ or Life science industry
  • Good knowledge of the diagnostic market /life science market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform in cross functional team working
  • Great working experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional presentation and team working ability.
  • Ability to grow strong internal & external stakeholder relationships
  • The ability to pursue set policies and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to make arrangements under pressure.
  • Ability to guide and teach junior members of staff.
  • To be organized and have a precise approach to work.
  • Must be ready to travel internationally every now and then, over a weekend.
