Field Service Engineer - South UK

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Instrument protection support
  • Instrument fittings, equipment improvements.
  • Timely corrective maintenance to fix systems to full operation
  • Solve instrumentation concerns through hardware/  software troubleshooting
  • Arrange communications (email and telephone) with customers to solve and correct follow up to ensure of customer satisfaction
  • Organise, update and upkeep correct logs, equipment performance data, service records and parts usage software
  • Communicate efficiently with our sales team and application specialists giving our colleagues information about the requirements of our customers
  • Train and guide other FSE’s on difficult troubleshooting and technical fixes
  • Active participation with sales teams in upgrades and service contract renewals within the allocated area.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical engineering or a physical science
  • Minimum 2 years of equipment support experience in biotech instrumentation, field service repair, fluid control systems, and system level electrical/ mechanical fixing
  • Excellent communication skills computer networking, troubleshooting
  • Flow cytometry and/or laser experience would be desirable, however, not essential
  • Able to travel up to 80% of the time, infrequent international travel
