The main purpose of the Field Application Specialist is to train and guide the Company’s increasing customer base.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the European Service Manager, the incumbent of this position will be required to:

  • Work with the European Commercial team in a pre and post-sales support role mainly for Fluorescent in situ hybridization oncology products
  • Train on the Company’s Fluorescent in situ hybridization products at customer sites including laboratory work in both the Cancer and Constitutional disciplines
  • Comprehend customer needs and application of Fluorescent in situ hybridization products for the areas of oncology cytogenetic/molecular genetics
  • Assess information to Marketing and R&D teams that help the growth of future oncology products
  • Work with the Marketing and Commercial teams to allow the highest levels of customer service to current accounts
  • Supply ongoing technical support for current customers
  • Organise Early Access placements of new products
  • Travel widely throughout Europe, Middle and Far East to visit customers, participate in relevant exhibitions and support local distributors
  • Work closely with the Company’s Distribution network administering support where applicable

This is a key role within the European commercial team as it calls for a great deal of customer interaction, scientific knowledge and appreciation with the needs of the clients.
