Account Manager - South West London

Job Description

The person:

  • Achieve yearly sales targets and objectives.
  • Manage and develop a current sales base and create new customer networks.
  • Organise appointments, follow-up on quotes, samples, and leads.
  • Establish and conduct key account analysis, make and grow plans to up-keep existing business and gather intelligence for new opportunities.
  • Meet with customers to demonstrate The Company’s products and sales creation. Initiate and communicate proposals similar to customer requirements and use negotiation skills to accomplish a successful sale.
  • Create and up-keep records within our internal CRM system to help with customer contact traceability, initiating proposals and customer-specific information.
  • To show and contribute to internal and external conferences.
  • Arrange information as required for customer seminars and discussions with management.
  • Reply to customer inquiries quickly; communicate with internal support to assist where needed.
  • Guide business initiation, representing the company at mini-exhibitions.
  • Comply with sales and organisational policies and ensure deadlines are reached.
  • Work alongside sales managers to create proposals and set customer pricing and report sales performance.
  • This position involves a distinguished amount of travel to customer locations within your territory and it could involve travel throughout the UK.

  • The need for overnight stays may be needed.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Ideal candidate should hold a science degree (preferably in Biological Sciences) or relevant.
  • Understanding of techniques such as Molecular Biology
  • You must hold a Full UK Driving Licence and Eligibility to Work in the UK.
  • We are looking for self-discipline, hard-working, passionate individual with great organisational skills.
  • Previous experience within scientific research, medical or commercial environment is a bonus.
